The name "Field Path" comes from the way I think about thoughts, feelings, and other internal experiences. I see these as paths in a field; paths that have been walked on thousands of times and have become engrained in our mental landscape. Our minds walk these familiar paths effortlessly. I see therapy as a way to notice the path we're on and find ones that may serve us better in the long run.
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist who has been working in the mental health field for over 20 years with a focus on OCD, Body Dysmorphia, Hoarding, and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs).
As the first therapist at the FW. Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, I have trained and worked with some of the most knowledgeable and passionate experts in the field of OCDR.
I have extensive experience providing individual and group therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, with expertise in OCD and Related Disorders (Body Dysmorphia, Hoarding, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours [BFRBs]), major depressive disorder, and anxiety (Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety).
I received my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary and Bachelor of Psychology from York University in Toronto my clinical training in the CBT Clinic at CAMH. I have worked in clinical. educational and research roles at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the F.W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) and in private practice.
